"God-of-Fortune" giving out goodies

Part of the proceeds from the sales of Chinese New Year cookies was utilized to organize a Chinese New Year dinner for the old folks of various homes. The residents of Johor Cheshire Home were also invited. 71 of these special guests attended the function held at Marina Seafood Restaurant on 29-March-2003 organized by Lion Lily Tan.

   The night was filled with entertainment right from the start with performances by clowns, “God-of-Fortune” and Magician. Lion Lily Tan distributed ang-pows to all the special guests. Our very own Lion Anita Chu also sang some nostalgic tunes to the delight of the old folks. Many guests also participated in the karaoke session. It was a night filled with fun and joy and the special guests requested to be invited again next year.
