Joint Blood Donation Campaign &
Human Organs Pledging

On 3rd August 2003, five Lions Clubs of Region 7, namely Johor Bahru Host, JB Metro, Skudai, Kulai & Taman Century, together with JB Hokkien Huay Kuan, assisted by Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah Cabang Johor and Medical staffs of Hospital Sultanah Aminah, held a Blood Donation Campaign and Human Organs Pledging, at Plaza Pelangi, Concourse area. 

Right from the set-up at 9.30 a.m., a strong stream of donors started queing to donate their blood.  By 4.00 p.m. a total of 328 bags of blood was collected. 13 male and 26 female pledged their organs.

The event was officially opened by Assemblyman, Dato Balakrishnan of Pasir Gudang constituency.
