Annual Christmas Party for the Special Children

"I wish Christmas is everyday one...", "I want Santa Claus to come to my home...", "Why Christmas comes only once a year huh?", "I whishh...to leesiv..many many pleseent...from Santa...", "I wish Christmas is once a month...."
These are what the 'children' wish for. Unfortunately Christmas comes only once a year. But then, just waiting for this day is what every children envision. A day filled with joy, laughter and happiness. A day where their wishes might come true.
The Lions in the South has, every year, never fail to bring this period of yuletide of celebration to these 'special children'. A commitment no matter how small, means a whole lot to the community of the underpreviliged.
On 12th December 2004, a total of 170 'special children' from the various homes were brought to Austin Hill Golf & Country Resort for a day of celebration. On hand to 'play' with them were 82 Lions and Leos and their family members.
The children are from: Johor Cheshire Home, Sekolah Pendidikan Khas Kanak2 Spastik Johor, Persatuan Penjagaan Kanak2 Terenchat Akal, Sekolah Kanak2 Istimewa, Taman Sinar Harapan Jubli, Taman Sinar Harapan Tampoi, Pusat Kebajikan Kalvari(Anak Orang Asli) and Malaysian Buddhist Association Long Hua Home
