Tsunami Disaster - Aid to the victims
December, 26th 2004,
Sunday at 12.30 p.m. the whole world, in particular, some Asian countries will
not forget for the rest of the earthen life! An earthquake measuring 9.0 on the
Ritcher scale, created a huge tidal wave ( tsunami ) near Aceh. The tidal wave
has brought about a massive catastrophe and devastation especially to Aceh, Sri
Langka & India. Malaysia, namely Penang was not spared. In all, a rough total of
about 160,000.00 perished in just under a couple of minutes. Aids from all over
the world poured into these affected countries.
Our club through our project fund, donated a sum of RM 10,000.00 to the
Malaysian Red Cresent Society to be distributed to the various tsunami victims.
A small sum that we hope will ease the pain and sufferings of those affected.
